Bill Badsley was a South African? who made his creations, and during mid 80s he tried to sell some in the UK but was unsuccessful
The Only Reference I have is one of these cars that was over in the UK and artcle gives a driving impression of car ; tech specs and Profile of man and manufacturer
Car in question is called a Bullett

The Beaulieu encyclopedia says he relocated to Ventura, California in 1983, with Yamaha motorcycle-powered cars, then added or switched to electric go-cart and boat production...and here he is:

Ah--"Badsey" is undoubtedly the correct spelling, by the way. There can't be two South Africans building cars of the same name.
